The Radio City Christmas Spectacular is an annual show that is held at New York City's Radio City Music Hall. The show held during the Christmas is witnessed by more than a million visitors a year. With over 140 performers, lavish apparels and props and an original Radio City Christmas Spectacular Musical score, it is a combination of special effects, music and dance during various acts. Much of the dancing is done by the dance group, the Rockettes. Running for over six weeks from November 9 to December 30, it became an annual tradition in New York. Russell Markeit developed and choreographed the songs for the musical alongwith the acts directed by him. He being versatile projected a 3-D scene with Santa riding all the way to Radio City on his sleigh, while throwing presents into the crowd. In 2006 a new dance number, new costumes and new visual effects were added. In 2007 the show has the 75th year celebration with a completely new production.
